This page explains what happens to personal information on this website. It covers the contact form and the ordinary running of the site, and nothing else.

The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts. The only personal information it handles is what you choose to type into the contact form.

There are two sources, and only two.

The contact form. Your name, your email address, your company if you fill that field in, and your message. You decide what goes in each of them. An email address is the one thing genuinely needed, because without it there is no way to reply.

Server records. Every web server keeps a record of the requests it serves: an IP address, the time, the page asked for, and the description a browser gives of itself. These records are not created for this site in particular. They are how a server works, and they are what makes it possible to see that something is broken or that someone is hammering the site.

No cookies are set. No analytics run, neither first party nor third party. There is no advertising script, no remarketing pixel, and no social media widget reporting back on who looked at what.

Typefaces and images are served from this site rather than from an outside network, which means no third party learns that you came here or which pages you opened. The site carries one small script. All it does is change how the navigation bar looks as you scroll, and it stores nothing.

To answer you, and to keep the thread of a conversation you started. Server records serve a narrower purpose again: keeping the site up and looking into problems when they appear.

None of it is used to build a profile of you. None of it feeds an advertising system, here or anywhere else.

A message has to travel to arrive. It passes through the company that hosts the site and the company that carries the mail, and it is read by whoever needs to read it in order to answer you.

Beyond that, nothing is sold or rented, and nothing is handed to anyone for marketing. The one exception is a lawful demand from a public authority, which is not something any site can refuse.

A message is kept while the exchange is live, and afterwards for as long as there is a reason to keep it. A sourcing conversation that pauses for a season and resumes is the usual reason. When there is no longer one, the message is deleted.

Server records are short lived. They are kept for the period the hosting provider applies to its own logs, which is measured in weeks rather than years.

Access to the mailbox is limited to the people who need it to do their work.

That said, no message sent over the internet can be guaranteed against interception, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. Please do not put anything through the contact form that would matter if it went astray: prices you treat as confidential, drawings, or documents. Write first and we will agree on a way to send them.

You can ask what is held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or ask that it stop being used. Write to contact@sarushome.com.

Deletion is the straightforward case here. There is a mailbox and a message in it, and the message can be removed. If you are not satisfied with the answer you get, you can raise it with the data protection authority where you live.

This site is written for trade buyers and for adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
