Terms of use

This is a brand and sourcing site. It describes the materials, how pieces are meant to be made, and what a factory quote needs to contain in order to be comparable with others.

There is no shop on it. No cart, no account, no payment, nothing to check out. Reading it commits you to nothing beyond the few points set out below.

You are welcome to read the pages, print them, and send someone a link.

Please do not interfere with the site or the server that runs it, do not try to reach parts of it that are not published, do not harvest it wholesale by machine, and do not use the contact form to send advertising nobody asked for.

The Sarus name, the crane mark and the wordmark identify the brand. Do not put them on your own products, packaging, listings or documents, and do not use them in a way that suggests a connection that does not exist.

The text on this site was written for it. Quoting a passage and linking back is fine and welcome. Copying a page, or the site, is not.

The photographs are used under their own licences. Those licences sit between the photographer, the library and Sarus. They do not pass to you because you found a picture here. If you want one, go and get it at the source.

Everything here describes an intention at the time of writing. Materials, dimensions, finishes and processes can change while a piece is being developed, and the site is not always updated the same day.

Nothing on this site is an offer, a quotation, or a warranty of any kind, and nothing on it forms a contract. What binds is what is agreed in writing between the parties, and nowhere else.

Factories working in these materials are invited to get in touch. Sending a quote, and receiving one, commits neither side to anything: no exclusivity is offered or implied, and the cost of preparing a quote sits with whoever prepares it.

Do not send confidential drawings or sensitive pricing through the contact form. Write first, and we will agree on a way to send them.

The site is published as it stands. It may be unavailable at times, for maintenance or for reasons outside anyone's control, and its content may change or be withdrawn without notice.

Some links lead off this site. Those pages are written and run by other people. A link is not a recommendation, and nothing here vouches for what is on the other side of it.

These terms can change. The version that applies is the one published here at the moment you read it. The date it was last changed is at the foot of the page.
